Acreage Athletic Baseball

 

The AAL Baseball league was organized to provide young men and women the opportunity to participate in a team organized program. The Acreage Athletic League aspires to be an outstanding educational-athletic organization that provides a high-quality experience, in which every athlete:  

Is coached using the principles and fundamentals of our league.

• Has fun playing the game

• Feels like an important part of the team regardless of performance

• Learns "life lessons" that have value beyond the playing field

• Learns the skills, tactics and strategies of the game and improves as a player.  

 

An opportunity for all participants to enjoy athletics and provide their parents, friends and peers the enjoyment of seeing them compete. For coaches to always realize the importance of their role as teacher, not only of sports, but of conduct and deportment in the field at all times, good sportsmanship regardless of the game’s outcome and show appreciation and respect for opponents as individuals of equal value.

BOARD DIRECTORS

President (2 years 1 vote) - Jeff Dynan

  • Oversight and management of board members

  • Organize, motivate, delegate responsibility & maintain control and integrity

  • County and Executive Board spokesperson & communication liaison

  • Manages relations and coordination of professional contacts for clinics, camps, etc.


Secretary (1 year 1 vote) - Tandy Wright

  • Document & publish meeting agendas and minutes

  • Maintains a register of directors & record of league activities

  • Post Facebook notifications, information & updates

  • Assist with coordination and execution of special events, sponsorships & fundraising


Commissioner (2 years 1 vote) - Open

  • Manage & maintain Blue Sombrero Registration

  • Create practice & game schedules: including coordinating inter-league play

  • Team Coach/Manager communication & resource liaison; recruits Divisional Directors

  • Obtain quotes & procure uniforms


Member at Large ( 1 year 1 vote)- Greg Butcher

 

Umpire in Charge- Bill Nadolna

  • Secure umpire personnel & schedule resources accordingly

  • Foster education/growth & organizes instructional clinics for umpires

  • Standardize &  publish league game rules and regulations

  • Maintains central source of scores and standings


Sponsorship Coordinator- Kacey Atkinson

  • Provides the Managers information about getting a sponsor for their team

  • Maintains a spreadsheet of all sponsor’s names & information including artwork needed for banners

  • Collect and track sponsor donations and turn them into treasurer

  • Solicits corporate sponsorships and donations

 

Vice President (1 year 1 vote) - Matt Childs

  • Presides in the absence of the President

  • Works with other officers & committee members

  • Carries out such duties and assignments as may be delegated by the president


Treasurer (2 years 1 vote) - Holly Dynan

  • Budgeting, forecasting & reporting of Baseball and Hamlin Concession Financials

  • Dispenses league funds as approved by the Board of Directors

  • Maintains records of monies secured through sponsorships and fundraising initiatives

  • Provide Executive Board documentations/record keeping for tax preparation, consolidation & filing


Equipment Manager/ Member at Large (1 year 1vote) –

  • Track, maintain & purchase equipment inventory

  • Manages batting cage upkeep & other repairs

  • Ensure bases, pitching mounds, etc. are set appropriately for games scheduled on respective fields

  • Obtain quotes & procure awards/trophies


Communications Coordinator- Amanda Capalbo

  • Coordinate & plans special events and activities including Opening/ Closing Ceremonies

  • Manages & implements approved fundraising activities

  • Organizes committees & volunteers and governs participation in fundraising activities


Concessions Manager- (Interim) Tandy Wright

  • Maintains the operation of concession facilities

  • Purchases concession products and records inventory & sales

  • Schedules volunteers to work the concession during games/events adequate coverage

 

Web Design & Advertising Material- Concha Solutions LLC

  • Create advertisements & event and registration fliers

  • Manage production & purchase of sponsorship banners

  • Maintian up-to- date website
